No One Loves Your Side Hustle As Much As Your Competition Does!

I’m not sure I've met many people who have a thicker dose of "Entrepreneurial ADHD" than me, so please know this about this post — I'm making it as much for me as for you.

I was a living, breathing example of this in my early practice years. Thankfully I had incredible chiropractic mentors like Dr. Rick Elbert, Dr. Richard Burns, + Dr. Michael Cody, who taught me how to adjust πŸ™Œ + get insane results with chiropractic alone. But despite their best efforts, it wasn't enough to keep my attention away from all the bells πŸ”” + whistles being sold to me.

Within my first 5️⃣ years of practice, I had already added rehab, massage, orthotics, supplements, primitive reflex + neuro-integrative care (PT/OT type therapies), and even a specialized fitness + weight loss program to top it all off!

Each of them fed my desire to be taking on something new... at the same time, each of them limited the growth of my actual chiropractic practice. You know, the 1 thing I can do that no other provider or person could? Also, the 1 ☝️thing that makes the most impact πŸ’₯ + income πŸ’° by far! Also, the 1 ☝️ thing I went to school for 8 years for! 😎

Before I knew "better" (aka not better) and got exposed to this dilution + distraction, I had grown my practice to 500-600 visits/week. And then I'd stay stuck 😬 there for years as I danced with all this "side hustle" stuff.

Thankfully I had 1 more incredible mentor enter my life and help me see the proverbial lightπŸ’‘, and gave me "permission" to call myself on my own BS about how much I "needed" all this to stay busy + impactful.
Within a few short months we unplugged + shut it all down... and just 2-3 years after that our practice doubled to 1000 a week + never looked back! πŸ‘€

So doc, as you roll into 2024 and no doubt are thinking + maybe dreaming πŸ’­ about that "side hustle" you want to start... really, really, really think πŸ€” through it before you do.

❓ Is there another level of leadership you could step into that grows your practice + your income instead?
❓ Where else could you deploy your 1☝️ thing?
❓ Could you build a bigger doc team, mentor + train other interns and students, and open other locations?
